Visit

Share a moment of pleasure with your children at the Museum of Woodworking and Heritage. Make them aware of nature, technology and heritage… all in an educational and playful way. You can also admire the collection of almost 1000 wooden toys from different periods. Tours adapted to children, lasting about 1.5 hours, take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 10 am during the school holidays. The children are given a small educational booklet with a riddle to solve, which is rewarded with a small surprise.

The museum is fully accessible to strollers.

There is a pleasant picnic and play area in the museum parc.

The secret workshop of
little Welches

of the Museum of Woodworking and Heritage

Labaroche (Lè Barauwtch) is a quiet little mountain village (montéyn) where life is good.
But in truth, not so quiet as that!

Because what you don’t know is that at the bottom of our forest (bauw), well hidden under the big black fir trees (sèp) of the Hohnack, works a whole family (famil) of intrepid and mischievous Little Welches. All small but very strong (fo)!

We discovered by chance that these eight characters return every evening to get warm in the Museum (muzé) where they have found a hiding place (kwètchat) to spend the night there. They like to walk there after closing time when the visitors have left. But, shh, it’s a secret, don’t tell anyone!
