On the third floor, a teaching part
takes place, and also a begin of 20th Century small farmer workshop.
If you wish to know everything
about trees, their evolution, their disease, there're plenty of documents,
samples, pictures, films available for you.
The odds and ends which
allowed the farmer to be self-sufficient in making and repairing their tools is
very impressive: tools to make rake tooth, wheelwright tools, woodworker tools,
cooper tools, clog maker tools…We can easilly imagine that the farmer couldn't
have all these know how, but in fact mutual assistance worked very fine at
these times, and what the ones couldn't do, his neighboor could.
All these tools have a name which
starts to be lost in the very depths of dictionnaries: let you write them, to
transmit them to your descendants !
And in
the middle of all these things, a small wonder that the mistress will be
surprised to flush out: the ancestor of the washing machine !
Less practical of course, but it
washed whiter than white, upon barotchate's word !
